In 2007, Richard Stravitz opened our sculpture gallery on Laskin Road in Virginia Beach. He wanted a place to share his bronze work and support other artists around the Hampton Roads area. That simple idea is still the heart of what we do.
From the start, we designed the gallery to feel open and inspiring. With high ceilings, lots of natural light, polished concrete floors, and chrome piping, the space has a clean, modern feel. Visitors often tell us it reminds them of a SoHo-style gallery right here near the beach.
What makes our fine art gallery especially unique is that Richard’s sculpture studio is just downstairs. Most days, he’s there working, and guests are welcome to stop by, watch him sculpt, and ask questions. He’s always glad to explain his process, especially the “lost wax” method he uses to cast bronze.
Over the years, we’ve grown beyond just sculptures. Our gallery now represents a range of painters, glass artists, and jewelry makers—both local and international. Still, our focus remains the same: to feature original artwork, highlight creative voices, and make space for people to connect with art in a genuine way.
We’re proud to be part of the Virginia Beach art community and love welcoming visitors from all over. Whether you’re coming to meet Richard, browse our current collection, or enjoy the atmosphere, our sculpture and fine art gallery is where creativity feels personal.
In 2007, Richard decided to open a gallery on Laskin Road in Virginia Beach, VA so he could showcase his talent while helping to support local artists here in the Hampton Roads area do the same. His studio is downstairs in the gallery so you can see the Master Sculptor at work. As often said by many, this Gallery brings a “So Ho” feel to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront area with its high ceilings and chrome industrial piping.
