“Reverie” found its genesis in the artist’s fond recollection of an afternoon spent with his two children more than fifty years ago.  As his boy and girl played on the bed, Richard Stravitz attempted to entertain them with an impromptu classical guitar recital.  The moment of happy communion between the three was captured in a photograph.  A “reverie” is the state of being pleasantly lost in one’s thoughts.
