Kevin Moss is a multimedia sculptor and painter, based in Coastal Virginia. Known for his unique cast-resin jellyfish wall-sculptures, process-based abstract paintings, and site-specific, large-scale installations and sculptures that have a focus on the natural world and our connections with the environment… through playful and imaginative twists.
The natural world is an intimate source of inspiration and the uniting focus of Moss’s art and other life pursuits. He has an appetite for exploring the beauty and essence of the natural world and for encouraging its protection. Moss’s commitment to immersive encounters with nature and to a creative transfer of its wonders are both intrinsic to his way of life.
In 2023, Kevin completed his most recent collection of sculptures: created for the newest addition to Virginia Beach’s historic Cavalier Resort, as a tribute to this area’s elite history as a top music venue in the 30’s & 40’s. Kevin investigates parallels between the tools of musical expression and the organic rhythms of the animal kingdom. Making playful connections, these larger-than-life installations pull us in to observe our kinship with the environment and speak to sources of awe found in music.
