Lisa grew up on a farm in rural Alabama. While in college at Jacksonville State University, she was first introduced to glass by a friend. Soon after graduating from college, Lisa married and began a family. Wanting to stay home with her children, Lisa began to think about how she could combine her creativity with being a mom. As her family grew, so did her passion for working with glass. Her art glass creations fuse color, light, texture and depth with fluid movement that stimulates the senses and excites the imagination. Still on a constant quest to explore new methods of expression, Lisa began working with metal and combining it with glass – creating art pieces that have unique sculptural effect.
At home in rural Jasper County, Georgia, Lisa and her husband Rusty enjoy the peaceful surroundings with the two youngest of her five children. Lisa creates her three-dimensional fused glass and metal sculptures in a solar electric powered workshop and glass studio. She has been featured on HGTV’s “That’s Clever” and had had work commissioned by some of America’s top corporations. Her work can also be found in countless private collections.
