Inspired by the Swing Era of World War II, this sculpture memorializes the euphoria experienced by dancers of the Jitterbug. The elevation of the bronze soldier and his girl characterizes the uplifting nature of the dance and the music performed by notables such as Glenn Miller and Cab Calloway.
