ROBERT W. LAUER
With a Studio Art minor from Washington & Lee University, followed by a Masters of Industrial Design from NC State, Robert’s career combined art, design and marketing as Director of Industrial Design with several international corporations in the U.S., Germany, Japan and China. When home in the U.S. he continued his passion for watercolor, oils and acrylics studied under I-Hsiung Ju at W&L, donating artworks for charitable events.
After returning to the Tidewater area of Virginia, Robert’s works focused on exploring the natural vivid colors found at sunset along our waterways, stretching from the Northern Neck to the Currituck Sound of NC. His work explores the interplay of sky and water, balancing the harmony of simple hidden geometry, with strategically placed focal points. A proponent of Stephen Quiller’s color theory. https://www.quillergallery.com/about-stephen-quiller.html
