Virginia Beach Artists are at the heart of what we do at Stravitz Sculpture & Fine Art Gallery. Not only do we represent acclaimed local artists, we have also proudly sponsored the Chesapeake Bay Art Association Spring Juried Exhibition as well as other juried shows including local talents such as:

  • Ellen Sinclair – A Virginia Beach native known for her expressive oil paintings and contributions to local public art. She studied in France and created the 2018 Neptune Festival poster, and continues to serve on the Virginia Beach Public Art Board.
  • John TobinWith a background in art education and a passion for storytelling, John Tobin creates mixed-media pieces that blend humor with poignant observations. His distinctive style has been showcased in exhibitions like “The World According to John Tobin” at Norfolk’s Offsite Gallery.
  • Val Parnell – An accomplished oil painter from Virginia Beach, Val is known for her vibrant plein air landscapes and still lifes. She has showcased her art in various exhibitions and is a member of several art associations, including the Chesapeake Bay Art Association.
  • Sam Hundleya Norfolk-based scrap artist who transforms found objects into whimsical assemblages, blending storytelling with environmental consciousness. A former newspaper designer, he now creates art full-time and has authored children’s books like Gifts of the Magpie (2021) and Tag and the Magic Squeaker (2022).
  • Allison SwanInspired by the coastal scenery of Virginia Beach, Allison Swan creates oil paintings that reflect the interplay of light and nature. Her work, often produced en plein air, showcases the serene environments of the Atlantic shoreline and Chesapeake Bay.

Even local jewelers are featured at our Virginia Beach art gallery and cover the bases from semiprecious stones hand-hammered and forged by Lynn Harrisberger and memory wire bracelets with crystals, glass and stones by Emily Crockin.
